What is an outride?

A guided ride out of the arena and onto open pasture

An outride, or trail ride, takes you out of the riding arena and into open country. At Pakar Equine that means grassy hilltops with views over Serdang, wide paddocks and quiet tracks around the farm.

You don't need to have ridden before. We match every rider to a calm, trail-wise horse, walk you through mounting and steering, and a guide rides with your group the whole way. Riders who want more can ask for a longer or private ride.

It's a favourite for couples, groups of friends and anyone who wants the photos. Our sunset outride is timed for golden hour.

How it works

Your trail ride, step by step

  1. Book on WhatsApp

    Tell us the ride, your date and how many riders. We'll confirm your slot.

  2. Meet your horse

    Arrive 15 minutes early. We'll match you to a horse that suits your size and confidence.

  3. Safety briefing

    Helmet on, then a quick lesson on mounting, steering, stopping and how to sit.

  4. Ride out

    Head onto the pasture with your guide. Photo stops on the hilltop are part of the plan.

The adventure trail

Two and a half hours on our most demanding route, for riders who want more than a walk. Expect steeper climbs and descents, rougher and narrower ground, and longer stretches of trot and canter where conditions allow.

    Dress for the saddle and the sun

    • Long pants such as jeans or leggings
    • Closed shoes with a small heel. No slippers or sandals
    • A cap for before and after the ride, plus sunscreen
    • Water. The pasture is open and sunny

    Who can join a trail ride

Can I join a trail ride with no experience?

Yes. Most of our trail riders are first-timers. We give you a safety briefing, match you to a calm horse, and a guide rides with you the whole way.

How long is the trail ride?

Our classic outride is 90 minutes. There is also a 30-minute taster, and a 2.5-hour adventure trail for experienced riders. Allow an extra 15–20 minutes for your briefing and horse matching.

Will I trot or canter?

First-timers stay at a relaxed walk. Confident riders can book the adventure trail, which has longer trot and canter sections. Your guide decides what is safe on the day.

Where does the trail ride start?

At our stable inside Farm Fresh @ UPM, Jalan Maklumat, Serdang. See Plan your visit for directions and parking.

Is the trail ride good for photos?

Very. The hilltop has views over Serdang, and our guides are happy to take photos for you. Book the sunset outride for golden-hour light.

Can we book a trail ride for a group?

Yes. Small groups ride together with a guide. For bigger groups, see school & corporate or WhatsApp us.
