Booking

How do I book a horse ride?

WhatsApp us on 011-7511 2280 with the ride you want, your preferred date and the number of riders. We'll reply to confirm your slot.

Can I walk in without booking?

Kids' joy rides take walk-ins when horses are free. Trail rides, lessons and groups should be booked ahead.

How far ahead should I book?

A few days ahead for weekend trail rides and lessons, and 2–3 weeks ahead for birthday parties and groups.

Can I change my booking?

Yes. Message us as early as you can and we'll help you find another slot.

First-time riders

Do I need riding experience?

No. Most of our guests are first-timers. Every ride starts with a safety briefing and a guide stays with you throughout.

Which ride is best for a first-timer?

Adults usually start with a 30-minute taster outride or a trial lesson. Young kids start with a joy ride.

What should I wear for my first ride?

Long pants and closed shoes with a small heel. Bring a cap, sunscreen and water. We provide helmets.

I'm nervous around horses. Can I still ride?

Of course. Tell us when you book. We'll give you our calmest horse and take things slowly, and you can start by meeting the horse on the ground.

Kids

What age can children ride?

Joy rides suit children from about 3 to 12. Proper riding lessons usually start from around 6 or 7. WhatsApp us your child's age and we'll advise.

Can parents walk with their child?

Yes. On joy rides, parents walk right beside the horse while our handler leads it.

Do you host birthday parties?

Yes. Our birthday party package includes joy rides, horse feeding and a grooming demo for up to 10 kids.

Do you run school holiday camps?

Yes. Three mornings of riding and horse care during school holidays. See school & corporate.

Safety

Is horse riding safe?

We keep it as safe as possible: helmets for every rider, a safety briefing, calm and well-trained horses, and a guide or handler with every ride.

Are helmets provided?

Yes, in kids' and adult sizes. Every rider must wear one.

Is there a weight limit for riders?

To keep our horses healthy we match riders by height and weight. Please share each rider's weight when you book and we'll confirm the right horse.

How do you look after the horses?

We rotate the herd so every horse gets rest days. Read more on Meet the horses.

How much does horse riding cost?
